Board of Directors

A locally-elected, five-member Board of Directors guides the district. Board members are elected to four-year terms.

Regular Board Meetings are held on the fourth Monday of each month, at 6:30 PM in Board Room, Annex 305 at 501 S. Main Street, Coupeville. All board meeting agendas are published and available on the district’s BoardDocs® site.

Continuous Improvement

A Continuous Improvement Plan defines the district’s vision, mission and goals, which are translated into annual action plans throughout the district. Based on performance assessments, student data, and best practices, the plan ensures a constant focus on improving teaching and learning.

Business & Finance

Business Manager Denise Peet oversees all fiscal operations of the district, including developing an annual budget, monthly reports to the Board, year-end reporting, payroll, contracts and interlocal agreements, food services, and accounts receivable and payable. She serves as the human resources director and is the superintendent’s designee when he is away from the district.

Scott LoseyMaintenance/Transportation

Scott Losey supervises facility maintenance and operation and grounds, as well a the transportation department

Maintenance: The district has a strong commitment to maintaining the community’s investment in its schools and facilities. Our goal is to ensure that all buildings and grounds are safe, clean, and accessible to all students, staff and visitors. 

Transportation: Students living more than one mile from school or on a hazardous walking route are entitled to transportation on our school buses. The school year starts with the same stops as the previous year; updated routes are published in early October.

Facility Use

District facilities are available to the community in accordance with Board policy and procedures. The district’s calendar shows school and community events held in district facilities.
