Coupeville Community Education
Coupeville Community Education (CCE) offers a variety of classes for youth and adults during fall, winter and spring sessions. We request at least one-week advance registration to ensure there are enough participants to hold the class. Learn why most dream workshops and books are filled with bogus information. Dreams are soul work for each of us. By acknowledging and relating to the images and symbols of our dreams, we acquire a better understanding of ourselves and others who are important to us. Dreams are an important source of wisdom about your life experience that you don’t want to miss. Learn firsthand what these ancient cultures had to say about this pivotal time. See examples of the amazing accuracy of their past predictions as well as the modern misconceptions surrounding the year 2012. Come separate fact from fiction! Through slides, handouts and lecture format, we’ll take a detailed tour of the physical and spiritual meaning behind these ancient glyphs. Each month we will highlight a religion and learn about its origin, specific beliefs, world view, spiritual practices, structure and both its ancient and modern place in the world. This class is informational and does not promote any one religious view. Some of the religious beliefs covered will be Hinduism, Judaism, Islam, Wicca, Christianity, Buddhism, Native American, Australian, and much more. This is a once a month class which will cover 12 different religions throughout a 12 month period. Three more will be offered in our fall session. Instructor: Rev. And what if that technique also worked on physical issues like pain, headaches and allergies? Emotional Freedom Techniques, or EFT, sounds like magic, looks funny, but often works where nothing else will. Sometimes called emotional acupuncture without the needles, EFT uses fingertip tapping on acupuncture points to balance the energy in our bodies in relation to whatever we focus on. In this free, ninety minute workshop we'll learn the basic technique that you can apply anytime, anywhere (and have some chocolate too!). Instructor: Lynne Donnelly, EFT Cert. Come learn how to move yourself out of that place with EFT. EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) is form of self-applied acupressure that helps balance energy and release physical, emotional and mental blockages. Although simple, EFT is extremely powerful and is an effective tool for eliminating the emotional blocks that prevent healing. In Level One we learn how to recognize and deal with Psychological Reversal, the Basic Recipe and some shortcuts, refinements and how to know when to use them, the importance of persistence and techniques for finding core issues, all while having fun! Whether you want to work on your own issues or work with clients, you will learn how to apply EFT to all types of problems, such as stress, cravings, phobias, anxiety, specific disturbing memories and traumas, physical pains, and all sorts of life-limiting beliefs. This hands-on class teaches the basic skills needed in babysitting, infant/child CPR, accident prevention and tips on how to get local jobs. Learn how to handle emergencies, change diapers, and be better prepared for babysitting. Upon completion of class with 100% attendance, students will receive a Babysitting Certification card.
