MTSS

What is MTSS?
Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) is a framework that helps schools identify and support students with learning and behavior needs. MTSS integrates assessment and intervention within a multi-tiered prevention system to maximize student achievement and reduce behavioral problems.
Core Components
- Universal Screening: All students are assessed to identify those at risk
- Data-Based Decision Making: Using data to guide instructional decisions
- Multi-Tiered Instruction: Three tiers of increasingly intensive interventions
- Progress Monitoring: Regular assessment of student progress
- Family Engagement: Active partnership with families throughout the process
Our Mission at Coupeville Elementary
To ensure every student receives the appropriate level of support needed to succeed academically, behaviorally, and socially-emotionally through systematic, data-driven decision-making and evidence-based interventions.
