Budget & Financial

The district’s annual budget allocates funding from Washington state, the federal government, local levies and bonds, grants, student fundraising, and donations into four accounting funds:

• General Fund – education of students
• Associated Student Body Fund – student activities
• Transportation Vehicle Fund – school buses
• Capital Projects Fund – land acquisition, construction or modernization of facilities.

State and federal regulations apply to revenues and expenditures for each of these funds.

The Board of Directors typically begins budget development discussions in January. Discussions continue until budget adoption in July. Public input is welcome.
